Šaltą vakarą žiūriu pro langą. Priešais - kitas langas. Sėdi kažkoks tipas ir spokso į mane. Nusėlinu iki to namo ir sviedžiu langan plytą. Rytą pabundu - mano langas iškultas. „Kokie mes, lietuviai, panašūs!“ Ir šilčiau krūtinėj. Juozas Erlickas |

Interdisciplinary English – Career Development lecture “My Success Story”
Anglų k. mokytoja Vilija Pažūsienė, IIIm klasės mokinė Domantė Juodpalytė (2018-10-29 17:28:44)Students had a very special guest Mindaugas Jasaitis, a lieutenant from MIB “Iron Wolf“ on Wednesday, October 24th. He arrived at Simono Daukanto gymnasium to tell the students his success story, explained how to become an officer in the Lithuanian Armed Forces. Mindaugas believed that goal setting was a powerful process for thinking about his future, and for motivating himself to turn his vision of his future into reality, so he started the presentation by telling about his first steps in Lithuanian Riflemen‘s Union (LŠS) where he began his journey in 2007. After graduating from school he studied in The Military Academy of Lithuania, so he briefly explained what studying in The Military Academy involved touching few of these points: basic courses, civil bachelor, military studies, physical training, armament, and squad leader and platoon leader courses. Being the 3rd best student in his course, he joined MIP “Iron Wolf” which was the core unit of The Lithuanian Army and formed the country's contribution to NATO collective defense. His goal was to join this brigade, because it was tough there and he considered that soldiers should choose the toughest and hardest places to gain more experience.
It is worth mentioning that Mindaugas did his presentation in fluent English to encourage the students to study foreign languages and broaden their career opportunities in the future. He advised the audience to set top-priority goals for their future and identify relevant activities to achieve them. It was really worth meeting such a motivated and organized person and start setting goals for our future careers.
